·       Ask: How can we form the present perfect?

·       Play the cassette, ask S to find out the sentences which contain on that tense.

·       I'll say that there is another tense like the previous one called the present perfect participle then write on the board:

 

has / have + been + writing

 

 

 

Þ the present perfect: Here the number of things done in that time is the most important thing.

 

Þ the present perfect participle: Here the time is the most important thing.

 

 

·       Open WB/30, read aloud the ins., others read aloud the examples Q's.

·       S say the answers.

·       Do the same with ex., B.

 

 

·       Open PB42, S read aloud the explanations and examples in box 1, introduce: Þ hectare: a measurement of area: 1 hectare is 100 metres by 100 metres.

·       Look at box 2/43, and box 3, S read aloud the explanations and examples.

·       Look at box 4,  S read aloud the explanations and examples.

·       Open WB/30, ex C. S read aloud the ins.
