·       Hang the poster (Arab Aid), play the cassette, S repeat some sentences.

·       Open PB/42, look at the con. in column A, play the cassette again, stop at each sentence from that column and S repeat.

·       introduce Þ fortunately: X unfortunately

·       S say the con. in A twice.

·       S look at column B, P/42, 2 of the best S in the class will stand up and substitute the words in italics

·       Introduce: Þ scientific: the adj of  science.

·       Some other S should practise the con.

·       Open WRB/32, check the homework.

·       Turn P/33, read aloud the title for A and 1.

·       S read aloud the explanation and the examples of joining sentences with and and but in the 3 boxes the read about or.

·       Read aloud the ins. for ex. at the bottom of page 33, do the 1st one with them in the class but the rest will be for homework.

·       Turn WRB/34, read aloud the title for 3, S read the explanation and the examples.

·       Read aloud the ins. for the ex. on P/34, do the 1st one in the class but the rest will be for homework.
