   ·   Say some sentences in the present simple with singular subject and ask S to say them with plural subjects:

  1.  A planet reflects light.                              Þ Planets......

  2.  A star radiate light.                                  Þ Stars.........

  3.  There is a star in the solar system.            Þ planets......

  4.  A planet orbits a star.                               Þ planets.......

  5.  A satellites orbits a planet.                        Þ Satellites.......

   ·   Write this sentence on the board and ask S to say the same sentence but with the plural subject:

       Singular subjectØ         A satellite orbits a planet.  ® with - s

  Plural subjectØ             Satellites  orbit a planet. ® with no -s

   ·   Write the negative form:

The negative formØ        A satellite does not orbit the sun.   

   ·   Ask: What tense is this? present simple =    We use it for facts and for repeated and regular events.

   ·   Ask is the sentence on the board active or passive? active. Ask S to change it to the passive form:

The passive formØ    A planet is orbited by a satellite.

   ·   Open PB/35, S read aloud the explanations and examples in boxes 1,2 and 3.

   ·   Open WB/25, A, S read aloud the ins., 2 S read aloud sentence and changed sentence in the example.

   ·   Do the same for B, C ,D and E.

   ·   Introduce this new word:
