   ·   Open PB/17, part 2, read aloud the ins.

   ·   Play the con, S repeat the 3 Q's there and write them on the board:

You don't come from Saudi Arabia, do you, sir?

It doesn't take long by car or by train, does it?

And how about you, sir?

   ·   Turn P/18, look at the con. at A, play the con. S repeat.

   ·   S say the con.

   ·   Look at column B substitute  the words in italics from B.

   ·   Do the same with C.

   ·   Open WRB/14, check the homework.

   ·   Look at P/15, read aloud the explanation, rules and examples in part 1.

   ·   Introduce:

   ·   ® contrast: = ( distinguish ) look at or think about 2 or more things so that you can see the differences.

   ·   Do the same with part 2.

   ·    Introduce:

   ·   ® break down: What happens to a car or a machine when it ( = stops working)

   ·   Turn P/16, read aloud the ins. do the 1st sentence, the rest will be done at home.

   ·   S look at the 3 words which have similar sounds and different spelling.
