   ·   Write these Q's on the board:

What are poachers? men who hunt or fish without permission

Why do you think the poachers were driving away? Because the warden was coming

Why are the rhinoceros and elephant facing extinction? Because the poachers have killed almost all of them.

What is a "species"? a kind of animal, such as a act or a horse, etc.

What is a "warden"? a man who works in a wildlife park and tries to protect the animals.

   ·   Play the recording and elicit the answers to the Q's on the board

 

   ·   Open PB/20, look at the pic., ask: What is this ? a forest.

   ·   Look at the pic on P/21, What has happen to the forest? It has been destroyed. What word means the process of destroying forests? deforestation.

   ·   Ask: How many lines are there in the reading? 68, How many sections are there? 4,

   ·   S read the 4 captions, Ask: What does each caption describe?

 

   ·   S close their books, I'll write these Q's on the board:
