·       Open PB/P41, read the passage but stop before the end of every sentence. S complete reading.

 

 

·       Turn PB/P42, ask, What is the 1st/ last word? cancer , skin.

·       S read the words, the parts of the entry and answer the Q’s. Do the same with all the new voc:

  1.  cancer

  2.  cause

  3.  decrease

  4.  evidence

  5.  occur

  6.  quantity

  7.  skin

·       Open WB/P36, S read aloud the sentence answer to the Q 1. Complete at home.

 

 

·       Turn WB/P37, read the ins’s and the example Q’s. S work together to find the answers.

 

 

 

·       Write this sentence on the board:

 

If  it    rains     tomorrow, I    will stay     at home.

                                              

                                              If   +   present                  +  future

 

·       Say: We use if + the present + the future in this sentence.

·       Write these prompts on the board:

·       hot...... drink lots of juice          rains.......read a book            cold........ stay at home

·       S use the prompts to say complete sentences.

·       Write this sentence on the board:

 

 If we did not have this agreement, 131 million extra cases of skin  cancer would   occur before 2075.

·       Sentence 1: It is possible that it will rain tomorrow and that I’ll stay at home. So we use: If+ pre+fut

Sentence 2: It is hardly possible, it is not really possible, that these extra cases will occur. It is hardly

     possible because we already have this agreement. So we use: If + past + would.
