·       Hang the poster, pic on the left, ask: What can you see? factories and smoke.

·       Ask: where is smoke going? into sky / the air. Say : yes, it is rising into the atmosphere: all the gases around the earth.

·       Ask: When the smoke rises into the atmosphere, what do you think the result is? It makes the atmosphere dirty. When smoke rises, it pollutes ( make dirty )  the atmosphere.

·       point to the pic on the right, say: This pic shows pollution.

·       Look at the pic on the middle, the liquid, ask: What is happening here? A factory is putting chemicals into the water. Point to the river and introduce it. 

·       Point to a fish, ask: What is wrong with this fish? It is dead. Say: Yes, This fish died. Ask: Why did it die? Because of chemicals.

·       Point to the foam and introduce it. Say: We can make foam with soap and water. Foam here is made by chemicals falling into the water. Ask: Where is this foam? in the water. No, it is on the surface of the water.

·       Point to the plane. What is the plane doing? The plane is putting the chemicals on the wheat by using special way. It is spraying chemicals onto the field of wheat.

·       Open PB/P39, read the title, explain “environment” : Object which are surrounded us.

·       S read the Q’s for each pic. S answer them.

·       Introduce the word bulldozer, say: It is putting poisonous substances into the ground.

 

 

 

·       Turn PB/P40/41, S read the title, look at P/40, point to the layers and say: There are several layers in the earth’s atmosphere. Point to the word “stratosphere” introduce it and ask: What can you see into the stratosphere? ozone  (a form of the gas oxygen) (O3) layer.

·       Point to the ultraviolet rays, ask: What are these? Lights coming from the sun. These are rays (line of light). Ask: What are these rays called? ultraviolet rays.  

·       Look at P/41, ask: What are the 2 things at the top of P/41? aerosol sprays.

·       Look at the pic in the center. Ask: What does it show? the earth. read the caption under it. Ask: what is the hole in the middle? It is the hole in the ozone layer.

·       Look at the pic’s at the bottom, S read the captions, introduce: “air-conditioner”: the machine that provides air-conditioning. Say: decrease =  means making less.

 

 

 

 

·       Open WB/P35, read the Q, S start answering the Q. Walk around and help.
