   ·   Open PB/P26, read the passage aloud, stopping before the end of every sentence. S complete.

 

 

   ·   Elicit the words pupils underlined on PB/P26, show them the 5 new words, S practice pronunciation and reading with all these words.

   ·   Turn to page 27, read the words there, read the parts of the entry (the definition, stress guide, example, and answer the questions.

   ·   The new words are : extra, gain, store, substance, and unfortunately. They will be clear from their definitions on P/27.

 

 

 

   ·   Look at WB/P23, read the ins's aloud and the example question. S work together to find the answers. When S have finished, ask different  S to read the Q's and the answers.

 

 

   ·   Open PB/P28, look at box one, read aloud the contents to show that which and who and that are the subjects of the relative clauses.

   ·   Turn WB/P24, look at e.x.,A, read the ins's, S write the answers to the 3 Q's. The rest will be homework.
