   ·   Open R/P8, S read silently step #4 in Arabic, elicit in English What the fourth step is.

   ·   S read the passage again, while S read the passage for the second time, do 2 things:

   1.   Look for any new words in the dictionary at the back of the reader.

   2.   Think about the 6 Q's on P/8, write the answers on this page.

   ·   S read the 6 Q's again bout no one shout the answers. (All S must practice reading by themselves)

 

 

 

 

   ·   S turn to the dictionary at the back, say: you are going to look in this dic for the new words they underlined in the last lesson.

   ·   Turn P/9 look at the 1st para, say: in line #2, you probably underline the word 'injure', turn to the dic and look for that word. Ask: What letter does the word begin with? (letter I), say: find this letter then find the word.

   ·   Say: you have 15m, read the passage silently to answer the Q's and find the new words in the dic.

   ·   After 15m I'll stop the S, say: you can look up the rest of the words at home.

 

 

 

 

   ·   Turn to P/8, elicit in English what the 4 steps are.

   ·   Ask: Who can read the 1st Q, a S read the answer, ask: Where can you find the answer? Which line show you the answer to this Q? L: 9-10, S read the answer

   ·   Repeat the previous step for the other 5 Q's.

   1.   Most of the 7.000 deaths happen in small house......  in houses, in homes (L:9-10)

   2.   However, experts say that you can prevent fires in your home if you know what causes them. (L:24-25)

   3.   Line: 27, 31, 35, 39, 43 and 47 (6 main causes)

   4.   Even if you do everything to prevent fires in your home, they can still start. (L:51-52)

   5.   Because of this, experts say that you should put smoke detectors on the ceiling of all rooms. (L:53-55) .

   6.   Never go back into the building for any reason. (L:100-101).
