   ·   Open R/P8, look at the 6 Q's.

   ·   S will answer and write Q's there.

   ·   Turn R/P13/H, read aloud the ins's. Ask: What is a definition? It tells us what a word means. For example, can you give me a definition of a mechanic? He is a person that repairs cars. ......

   ·   Look at the lift off words in box, I'll read the words an S repeat them.

   ·   S take a piece of paper, write their names and class number on it, I'll read some definitions of some words and S look for the word in the list and write the word on their paper.

   ·   Look at ex. I/13, S read the Q, find the line of the answer then ask: Which letter has the best answer. Write the letter in the box.

   ·   Say there are another 11 Q's. You have 10m to find the answers in the passage and write the letter answers in the box.

   ·   Look at ex. J/14. Elicit answers to the 5 Q's:

  a)  try to get a general idea about the passage.

  b)  look at the title, the pic’s and the way the passage is arranged.

  c)  Guess its meaning from the pic's, from other words around it, from words you know that are like it, if you cannot guess from these, then try to find it in the dictionary.

  d)  silently.

  e)  think about what you have read and try to explain it to someone in Arabic.

   ·   Look at page/15/2, read the ins's and play the cassette.

   ·   Open WB/P 41. Continue playing recording 3 until the end. S begin writing the answers to the Q's.

   ·   Collect the readers.
