Explain that this course is similar to the last one, but the emphasis is on reading , you will take 3 books

and we will spend more time on reading .

Hang the poster ... ask What is this ?It is a page from a telephone book. It shows emergency =( serious happening when people must give quick help) phone numbers.

ask : What is an emergency ?... What are these vehicles ? a police car, an ambulance and a fire engine.

What are the different emergency numbers?  for fire :998, police:999 , ambulance : 997 ,traffic accidents :993

Say medical is the adj of medicine ....point to the symbol of the Civil Defence ...ask What is this ?

Point to the next 2 pic’s ask: What  is this man doing ? phoning ..Who is this man ?a telephone operator ... 

say you are going to listen to a conversation  .. ask What kind of emergency is there ? fire ...What is the boy’s name ?Muhammad Al-Ahmad...Play the cassette ...Where is the fire ? in a shop... draw  a bird and a cage to introduce :trapped

Play the cassette again  ....S complete : Do not waste time  which means :Be quick

S’s open PB part B. They will read the Q’s there... play the cassette again  , S answer

Look at section C. Say : When you deal with a problem, you do something about it to find an answer to it

the answers : The traffic police and the ambulance service .

Let some other S’s ask and answer the other Q’s
