   ·   Use PB/P39, and the poster of lesson 1, then ask these Q’s:

  1.  Where are Yasser and Sa’ad going to go? Sudan.

  2.  Does the money exchanger have any Sudanese pounds? Yes.

  3.  What other currency should they take? dollars.

  4.  Has the money exchanger got any traveller’s cheques? No.

  5.  Where should they go to buy traveller’s cheques? a bank.

  6.  What currency do they change their riyals into? dollars.

 

 

 

   ·   Turn PB/P40/Box 1, write had better on the board, read the ins’s, S read the sentences, I’ll read the explanation.

   ·   Say: We are talking about the present or the future when we use “had better”

   ·   look at box 2, read it, write:

 

I’d better = I had better

you’d better = you had better

 

   ·   S make sentences orally ( it’d : /it-ud/)

   ·   Look at box 3, S try to make the appropriate sentences.

 

 

 

   ·   Look at the last section PB/P40, read it, S read the con, write it.

   ·   Look at box 2, pairs say aloud , S repeat, box 3: S make Q’s and answers.

 

 

 

   ·   Look at the last section PB/P41, read the ins’s, S read the examples:

 

Apostrophe + S                            for only one person  = the pilot’s keys

 

  S + apostrophe                              more than one person = the pilots’ keys
