· Show S the clock .... Start with (hours + minutes) e.g.: 7 : 15... Seven fifteen. · Change to the other system: Min’s to /past / quarter to/ past / and half past. · Hang the poster and ask: What are Mr. Al-Ali’s plans? What is he going to do? What does he plan to do? Say: He plans to .................... · Write on the board : a plan (noun) to plan (verb) S repeat. · Ask: What will Mr. Al-Ali need? e.g. : Money, a car, A truck, A camera. Ask :What else, He will also need a permission from his director. Say In a TV studio you must get the director permission. The director should say : Yes do your programme . So this is permission from the director = manager to do his programme. S repeat the previous words. · Write on the board: 1. Why did Mr. Al-Ali write this? In order to get permission . 2. What does he plan to do? He plans to interview people, visit the western region, fly to Sudan, tell the story of a Sudanese on the Hajj, Take 4 weeks, spend SR 20.000, spend a total of SR 50.000. · Introduce Memo, say : It is a message that you write, usually to someone who you work with ( note that you write to help you to remember). · Ask: Who is this memo to ?Mr. Kaled Al-Yami. Who is this memo from? Mr. Al-Ali. What is it about? Plans for "In Focus" · Introduce Sudan and Sudanese. · S try to answer these questions: How long will the journey take? 4 weeks /L 12 How many programmes will there be? 9/L3 What will the total cost be?
